On October 2011 Samsung is going to release its new GSM cell phone named Samsung S5690 Galaxy Xcover. It is IP67 certified – dust, water and scratch proof (up to 1m for 30 mins). It works with both networks 2G and 3G. The phone is quipped with Operating System of Android OS, v2.3 (Gingerbread) and has 800 MHz Marvell MG2 processor CPU. Phone has 3.65 inches Gorilla Glass touch display with 320 x 480 pixels, 16M colors, TouchWiz UI, Multi-touch input method, Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, Touch-sensitive controls and Proximity sensor for auto turn-off. The internal space of this handset is 150 MB with 512 MB RAM and users can upgrade the memory up to 32GB with microSD memory card. Unlocked Samsung S5690 Galaxy Xcover comes with bundles of features like Digital compass, MP4/H.264/H.263 player, MP3/WAV/eAAC+ player, Organizer, Image/video editor, Document editor (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF), Voice memo/dial/commands, Games, HTML Web Browser, GPS, GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, SMS(threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Mail, IM, RSS, Loudspeaker, 3.5mm Jack, supports Java Apps, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk, Picasa, Facebook, Twitter etc.
